A personal reading should never be about the reader—it should always be about you and the guidance you need.
I used to think that all tarot readers were the same and offered the same type of personal readings I do. But I was completely wrong. Some “readers” include their personal opinions in their readings, which is a big no-no for me and my practice. Personally, I feel very uncomfortable giving my personal opinions to any of my clients. It’s disrespectful, in my view.
So whenever a client asks me, “What do you think about this?” or “How do you feel about this?” I let them know that I cannot and shouldn’t answer those questions personally. Instead, I offer to channel messages for them if they book a reading. Respectfully, that’s my boundary as a tarot reader. Just like in any other relationship, it’s important to have healthy boundaries with my clients.
I intentionally and precisely only include channeled messages in my personal readings. My clients are welcome to share whatever they feel comfortable sharing with me, but I never require them to give me personal information. (Please be careful and aware of anyone who may try to collect your personal information for the wrong reasons.) It’s my job to clearly distinguish between channeled spiritual messages/divine guidance and my personal thoughts, perspectives, and opinions.
If I strongly feel called to share something from my own experience, I’ll label it as a side note or a bonus message—never as part of the actual reading.
Getting your personal readings done by a reader you trust can open up new doors and change your life in so many ways. It can be a truly magical experience. But unfortunately, some “readers” manipulate their clients and ruin the magic for others.
The right reader for you will help elevate your perspective and show you your life from a different angle—something that can be so beneficial when you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or disappointed. Guidance should come from the divine source. As a reader, I truly believe I’m just the messenger of the universe, not a life coach.
I am simply the portal for you to connect with your inner divine light and higher self. I can also tap in and hear what your spirit guides, angels, and ancestors are saying (sometimes it’s so loud I can almost hear them shouting in my ear lol) and deliver the messages to you. These messages are never my personal opinions.
But here’s the thing—not every reader has the best intentions. Some will pass off their own opinions as spiritual guidance, and that’s where people can get hurt or discouraged. Choosing the right reader is a lot like choosing a hairdresser, therapist, chef, or personal trainer. You want someone who can actually give you what you need, not someone who projects their own thoughts and feelings onto you. Don’t be afraid to try different readers until you find one who delivers guidance in a way that feels aligned and supportive for you.
At the end of the day, always trust your intuition, use your discernment, and choose wisely.
Sending you so much love ♡
